WIP: Alaskan Dusk Hat

This Work In Progress is called Alaskan Dusk Hat, and it's crocheted in an unusual construction. The body is crocheted flat and sewn into a tube, then stitches picked up on one side to be made into the crown, and on the other to make the band. I'm crocheting the body at the moment. It has an interesting stitch pattern that should make a unique hat when complete.

The yarn I picked is Loops & Threads Impeccable in light gray. It's a Michaels exclusive. The yarn is soft and easy care, so I use it a lot. The pattern is from the book Crochet In a Day: 42 Fast and Fun Projects by Salena Baca.

The hat is working up quickly, so I should be done fairly soon. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project!
