Review of Tiger's Promise (Tiger Saga #0.5) by Colleen Houck

Tiger's Promise is a prequel to the Tiger Saga.

I did enjoy reading it, but I found her writing not as good as the first four books. The background on Lokesh was interesting to read and it did provide insight into some of the actions of the characters in the other books, which was nice.

The book is told from the perspective of Lokesh's daughter, Yesubai, who was a tool for a power hungry, cruel, and dangerous man. It tells of her engagement to Ren and love for Kishan. It also shows how Lokesh put the curse on the two brothers and what happened to the poor young lady as a result.

I was very excited to be able to get this book and I found myself disappointed. It was nice to read the back story of how the curse happened, but I feel it was an unnecessary addition to the series. My love for the series makes me think better of the book than I would otherwise.

I give this book a:
