When Britney Spears had her breakdown in the 2000s, I watched closely because I'd recently had my own huge breakdown. It was suggested in the years that followed that she had bipolar disorder, which I have. I'll admit I didn't follow her story closely after her breakdown, but when her conservatorship came up recently and the court battles started, I became interested again.
There are a few videos I watched on the subject that I gave more credit than others I've seen thumbnails for because of the source. This one is Jonathan Decker, a therapist in the Salt Lake City area. He's better known for his partnership on the YouTube channel Cinema Therapy, one of my favorites, but this is his personal channel, Mended Light. Here, Jonathan talks about the necessity, validity, and possible negativity of conservatorships and how it relates to Britney Spears.
