Solitaire Beret!

This hat is from the book Weekend Hats by Cecily Glowik MacDonald, and it's called Solitaire Beret from the single braided cable that runs down the side.

The body of the hat is in reverse stockinette stitch, which makes for an interesting look. I have to admit that this hat looks much better than I thought it would.

I knitted the hat in Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn in forest, a soft, easy care yarn exclusive to Michael's. It's one of my favorites and I use it a lot.
