The Joy of Snow
I live in the Pacific Northwest, and it doesn't snow here very often. I don't mind because I hate snow. I lived in Northern Illinois, where there is a lot of snow in the winter, and I hated every single one of the 18 winters I spent there.
However, here the snow is magical and a treat for the children. Sledding is not usually possible, but snowmen, snowball fights, and snow angels are very popular. At one apartment complex we lived in for a couple of years, our balcony looked out over the playground, and on one particular snow day I saw a huge snowball fight between 11 children. It looked enormously fun, even to me.
Here is a Shaun the Sheep episode about the joys of an unexpected snow day, though I agree with the rooster.
