Strangeness at Fort Campbell Part Six: El Diablo

Part Six of the strange stories of the service of a US Army veteran, who goes by the pseudonym of Robert, as told by the wonderful Luke Lamana of Wartime Stories. This depicts his experience in Honduras in 1986. The reporting of this incident resulted in his immediate transfer stateside to a new unit in Fort Campbell.

He infers this transfer was to keep him from contacting members of his former unit and as a favor for cooperating after the incident.

It is a strange tale, to say the least, and I remember hearing of something similar in Southeast Asia. I will see if I can find that one.
