Fiction Podcast Review of The Two Princes Season 2
It took me a while to get to season two of The Two Princes, and it did not disappoint!
In my continuation of the first fiction podcast I listened to, the continued adventures of Prince Rupert and Prince Amir as they work to plan their wedding are interrupted by a sorceress's takeover of their kingdom, and Prince Amir losing all memories of himself, Prince Rupert, and everything they'd been through.
Hilarity abounded as Rupert tried to wrangle Amir, whose natural swashbuckling spirit would not be wrangled, and their pet dragon Porridge as he led a quest to save their kingdom and get his beloved Amir back.
Rupert's frustration was comical as the actor perfectly conveyed the determination to save his husband-to-be while feeling so exasperated by him that he wanted to strangle Amir.
Subplots from the first season thickened into several developing LGBTQ+ romances. All of them had a place, and none felt superfluous.
All in all, it was a fantastic time. Each season is only about three-and-a-half hours, the length of a very long movie or short miniseries. It's solid representation and very kid-friendly. A sweet story filled with adventure and laughs.
The same as the first season, I highly recommend this podcast, available on Spotify.
