WIP: Snowtracks Cap

This Work In Progress is a cabled knit cap—a gift for my husband for Christmas. When we first got together, he told me the only thing I could make him that he'd actually use is hats. So, I've made him a number of hats over the years, and this is my gift for him for this Christmas.

The pattern is from the Yarnspirations website and is called Snowtracks Cap. The pattern comes in two sizes, a skullcap with no brim, and a larger hat with a fold-up brim. I chose the larger size. I'm knitting it in stripes of Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn (a Michael's exclusive) in cream and pine green. I'm right now just above the ribbed hat brim and making my way through the beginning of the cable pattern.

The cabling is hard to see against the dark color, but it's much easier to see in person.
