Toe Up Socks!
When I ordered yarn to crochet my mom a pair of socks for Christmas, it came in a package of three skeins. I figured the socks would take a couple of skeins, but it took less than one. So I had two left.
Since I loved the stripe pattern in the yarn, I decided to make myself a pair and picked a different pattern than I used for my mom's socks because I already have two pairs in that pattern.
I chose a pattern from Yarnspirations that is a free download called Toe Up Socks. I crocheted it with Loops & Threads Perfect Pair yarn in born to run, a Michaels exclusive.
They don't fit as snugly as I'd like, but they're comfortable with the soft yarn I used. It's a simple single crochet throughout the body of the sock with simple increases and decreases in the toe and heel. The band is made with front post stitches.
