Beautiful in Every Way

I rediscovered this song recently and it somehow seems more poignant today than it did fifteen years ago. Covering subjects such as male body image issues, eating disorders, and bullying as well as being transgender, gay, and not conforming to magazines whether by dress or not meeting the standards of beauty.

This song has been beloved by the LGBTQA community for years, and very understandably. The message of the video was very progressive for the time and I remember some of the outrage over the content from the people not wanting their kids exposed to that kind of message of acceptance.

The message and song are beautiful, and a message that I think we all need right now.
