WIP: Mini Diamond Socks

This Work In Progress update is for a pair of socks I started a few days ago. I'm working on the leg of the first sock.

The pattern is from my trusty book, Vogue Knitting's Stitchionary Volume One: Knit and Purl. Click here for my review. The pattern is called "Mini Diamond." It's formed from yarn overs and decreases to form diamonds stacked on top of each other. It's hard to see them in the picture because the piece isn't blocked. When I have the socks on, the pattern will be clearly visible.

The yarn is Caron's Simply Soft in Sage. I love this yarn for making socks. It's the perfect thickness for the gauge I want and, as the name implies, a soft yarn that makes for easy wearing.
