Cabled Baglet!

I absolutely love making small purses. This one brought together several delights in knitting for me: small purse, drawstring bags, cables, and fun colors!

The pattern is from 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders, edited by Judith Durant. It contains dozens of really lovely patterns, but this one, "Cabled Baglet," has become my new favorite small purse.

The bag was constructed in one piece, which I loved, with one seam, and the body of the bag was knit in the round on double-pointed needles. I use Caron Simply Soft yarn in Cool Green, though it looks more blue than green.

It's four-sided with a square bottom and two different panels that alternate around the bag. The photos show one of each panel. It was fun to knit with an engaging pattern that didn't get boring and wasn't too difficult. It holds a surprising amount and I get a lot of compliments on it.

My new favorite purse!
