The Secret Habits of People with Anxiety

I haven't shared a Psych2Go video in a long while, but I used to watch a lot of their videos. I may need to start watching again!

In this video, they discuss things people with anxiety do "when alone," but really it's just things people with severe anxiety do in general.

The only thing I don't do is number four because my anxiety is not high functioning.

My phone is always on silent. I only answer it if the person is in my contacts and is in a limited circle of people. But my close friends and family know to text, not call. I respond to texts fairly quickly unless I'm having a bad day. But my voicemail has been full for about a year and I have no plans to change that! Voicemails make my anxiety spike massively, so I prefer not to get them.

I have no social life, and my husband has anxiety as well so he also has no social life. We have no friends to turn down for hanging out, which is less stressful, but I'm a little lonely.

Anxiety is no joke. If you suffer from anxiety, especially if it interferes with your life in any way, go to the doctor. Get some help. There is medication and treatment for anxiety to manage it and even reduce the severity. It's a medical condition, and you deserve treatment just like any medical condition.

Take care of yourselves! My love to you all.
