Crochet Clutch!
This was my first purse to not have a handle or strap, a clutch pattern I got from the Lion Brand Yarn website as a free download titled "Perfect Purse."
I liked this particular pattern versus similar ones because I'm not very good at sewing buttons on knitting, as silly as that sounds. This pattern makes it's own button and that was perfect for me. The front flap is pretty and lacy while the body of the purse is a more sturdy single crochet. There is an optional wrist strap but I opted not to make it.
The yarn I used is the store brand yarn from Hobby Lobby, a former favorite of worsted weight yarn that I haven't bought in years because I no longer live near a Hobby Lobby store. I loved the yarn because it's soft and economical, and for a poor, single woman it was the perfect combination.
This clutch is pretty and practical, able to hold more than a couple of items, but I am more apt to leave it somewhere because there isn't a strap or handle.
