My Favorite Hat!
This has been my go-to hat for seven years now. I love the slouchy hats/berets and the yarn has a beautiful drape to it. I like to mix and match it with various scarves and cowls I've knitted or crocheted over the years.
The pattern is called "All Day Beret" and it's a pattern by Debbie Stoller of Stitch Nation (www.stitchnation.com). I knitted it in a bamboo yarn, but as I knitted it seven years ago, I don't remember what brand or color I used.
The hat slouches perfectly with heavenly drape, and it's warm. At least, warm enough for the Pacific Northwest. The color is darker and richer than in the picture—more of a deep maroon—but my camera leeches color a bit.
Unless I've specifically decided to wear a different hat, this is the one I always wear. It's soft, warm, and beautiful. The pattern was easy, and it knitted up fairly quickly.
Altogether a lovely hat.
