WIP: Bloom Where You're Planted Sampler
This Work In Progress is a cross-stitch sampler I've been working on for going on nine months. I posted a Work In Progress update for this project on October 17, 2018. Click here to view it.
Mary Englebreit published a book of cross-stitch projects called Cross-Stitch for All Seasons. Click here for my review. I love the book and all the patterns inside. I want to make them all! The sampler I chose is my favorite.
The circular wrinkle in the fabric in the upper right corner shows where I'm working: it's where my embroidery hoop has been for the last couple of weeks. There's a section of light blue just above the end of the green line in the middle of the upper portion of the picture. That's where I'm working right now.
I had a lot more of the blue complete, but I started it in the wrong place and had to take it all out. I was two squares to the right of where I should have been, so I had to take out about fifteen hours' work and start it again. That little section of blue is about five hours of work.
Cross-stitch is a long and tedious craft, but what it produces is beautiful. I can't wait until this is complete and I can frame it. It'll be gorgeous.
