Review of Take Me by Fiona Masters
Take Me was a download from Smashwords.
Kacey moves in with her new roommates Jason and Diego after leaving her cheating boyfriend. Over a game of poker, having nothing to bet, they bet her acting as their sex slave for the weekend.
Kacey loses the bet, and Jason and Diego eagerly dive into their roles as her masters.
This book was a big, fat DNF. I made it to 58% before I couldn't take it anymore.
One issue for me was the hinted at forced sex kink. The book dove headlong into BDSM, which was fine with me because I enjoy reading about BDSM relationships. There was a ton of kink—ropes, blindfolds, and crazy sex positions. All of that wasn't an issue for me. I'm fine with reading all that.
My major issues started when Fiona Masters began putting Kacey in physically impossible positions during sex. I DNF'd when Jason put Kacey in a position where her knees were on either side of her head and he was pounding into her. I just kept thinking, "Jesus Christ, she can't breathe!!" And with the angle of her hips, how in the hell was he actually accessing her vagina?? It totally yanked me out of the story, and I'd already had problems with the book, so I said, "That's it, I'm done."
The tags listed for the novel on Smashwords are "alpha, BDSM, dirty, games, group, kinky, sex toys, threesome." I saw most of that, but no threesome yet before I gave up.
This novel was not written well, and if there was a little more realism in the sex, I might have pushed through. But I just couldn't do it anymore. I will not be reading any more Fiona Masters books.
