A couple of years ago, I checked a book out of the library called Cat Knits by Marna Gillian, a book of knitting patterns that are all cat-themed. I adored many of the patterns, and my favorite was this one, Squishy Cat Shawl.
I was finally able to make this late last year, and I absolutely adore it!

It's a half-circle shawl, and this was my first in this shape. I love the shape and want more of them! The detail in the shawl—the cat faces and triangles—were all done in a combination of knit and purl stitches. The edge is an i-cord bind off, which was surprisingly easy. The project was fairly easy and knitted up quicker than I expected due to the bulky yarn and large needles.
The shawl is both warm and cute, and I love wearing it to keep me warm this winter.
