Harbinger

I heard this piece on my local classical music radio station in early 2008 and loved it so much that I immediately ordered the CD online. This entire album remains my favorite modern classical music composition. This is the first track from Mike Oldfield's 2008 album Music of the Spheres.

This is the only CD I ever purchased after hearing one track a single time.

If you are a horror movie fan, you may recognize the style of this piece in some of the melodies. Mike Oldfield is the composer of "Tubular Bells," the iconic, haunting piece used to perfection in The Exorcist (1973).
