Review of Ravensong (Green Creek #2) by TJ Klune

Ravensong is book two in the series Green Creek.

Gordo Livingstone was the witch of the Bennet pack—until they left him behind.

He has contented himself with the garage he runs and the people in his small, mountain town. But then the Bennetts are back, and with them Mark Bennett.

Mark chose to leave with his family instead of remaining with his mate. Still heartbroken and angry, Gordo vows to ignore the song that once sang between them—even as the hum of it begins again.

Then danger and death return to haunt the Bennetts, and Gordo finds himself once more the witch of the Bennett pack.

The song sings louder than ever as Gordo refuses to give in. But time is running out because this time the danger comes from within.

I am in love with the Green Creek series. The relationships, emotions, and depth of the characters are excellent.

I'm a huge fan of second-chance romance, so this was right up my alley. With the push and pull between Gordo and Mark, it made their story even more emotional. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of will-they-won't-they romance, but this worked for me in a beautifully frustrating way.

The only thing I think TJ Klune struggles with is creating a consistent vision of the locations. The important places are well-mapped and described, but beyond that, there isn't much. The other locations don't need to be detailed the same as the important places, but somewhat of a mental map and general image of what the area is like is important.

Unfortunately, I'm writing this review several months after reading the book, so I don't have a ton of details. Hopefully, I will be able to do a more in-depth review for the next book, Heartsong.
