Review of Just Dreaming (Silver Trilogy #3) by Kerstin Gier
Just Dreaming is the third book in the Silver Trilogy.
Liv and Henry are back together and, along with Grayson, are trying to find a way to defeat Arthur. He seems to be past just making people do things in their sleep: now he can make people do his bidding while they're awake.
Anabel is out of the hospital and off her medication, and when they see her in the dream corridors, she seems to be convinced her demon is back. When a few sinister events point to the possiblity that the demon is real, the trio is at a loss as to how to proceed.
Grayson is determined to save Anabel from herself while Liv and Henry tackle the issue of Arthur.

I was disappointed with this book. The pace was slow and tedious, and when the climax came, it was too much plot twist with no setup and everything fit together a little too neatly.
The three sleuths spent more time saying they didn't know what to do than they actually did doing something. There were events happening that just seemed to be baffling and Liv, the self-professed sleuth, had no idea how to go about doing anything. All she did was worry about not having met Henry's family and Henry finding out that she's a virgin.
There issue of Liv's virginity was a whole sub-plot that involved a neighbor. It was completely unnecessary to the plot as a whole, and since we never found out how Henry's planned romantic alone time turned out, the whole sub-plot was pointless. However, it took up a fair amount of the book.
The plot twist at the end with Mia in the dream corridors was way too far-fetched. Liv had even seen Emily in the corridors, so why would she never have seen Mia? But Mia was very conveniently there to help Grayson, and then Henry and Liv defeat Arthur. The closing with Anabel was a little to neat and tidy, and unrealistic.
The one part of the ending I did like was the unveiling of Secrecy by Mia. I guessed Florence, but not the other two. However, Secrecy's blog turning into a place where they talk about love and how it conveniently functioned to tie everything together with Liv's family was ridiculous. I see what Ms. Gier was trying to do with it, but it didn't work.
The book was okay, and the close to the series was okay.
