Slippers!
These slippers were super easy and are very comfortable. They're not super cute, but they're warm and cozy.
The pattern is "All-Time Favorite Slippers" from the book Simple Knits for Sophisticated Living by Barbara Albright. The books patterns are designed to be used with chunky yarn, but the yarn I used is between worsted and chunky. They call it "thick worsted" thought it's not listed that way on the label. I used Caron One Pound in "Lavender Blue."
Caron One Pound is a little scratchy straight out of the skein, but once washed, and it can be machine washed and dried, it's very soft. I love using it for that reason, and it's pretty inexpensive per yard, though you have to buy a lot at once. Because it's wide for worsted yarn, it may require adjustments of either needle or hook size to produce correct gauge.
I love these slippers and hope to make more soon!
