Review of Love After All (Hope #4) by Jaci Burton

Love After All is the fourth book in the Hope series.

Chelsea Handler is on the hunt for the perfect man. She has a list of criteria, and she plans to stick to it like glue. Her friends tell her the perfect man doesn't exist, but she knows he's out there somewhere.

Sebastian "Bash" Palmer decides to help Chelsea find her perfect man while showing her someone who isn't "perfect" can be right.

Despite clinging desperately to her list, Chelsea begins to see the fun in someone who doesn't fit on it.

I found this book annoying. The list thing went on far too long despite Bash showing Chelsea a good time. By halfway through the book, I was damn tired of Chelsea continuously going on about the stupid list. Also, having a list in her thirties showed her to be materialistic, shallow, and immature. I could not identify with her. Even as a teen, I thought perfect-man lists were dumb.

Bash was a more relatable character, grounded in the present. His teasing, playful nature drew me to him, and I sure would have dated him.

Because of the list, I just couldn't get into this book. I finished it, but I wasn't particularly fond of Chelsea which made my view of the book drop.

Unfortunately, this was an installment in the series I could have done without.
